In 2013 our parent company invested into the Maha Nakhon. This brilliant sky scraper is now called King Power Maha Nakhon. A mixed use skyscraper located in Bangkok, Thailand.

In 2016 our crown jewel was opened to the world. Our parent company is the largest duty-free retailer in Thailand. Now expanding into the Australian home furnishings market, our parent company has been able to acquire several window furnishing fabricators. EzBlinds is one of our brands. The presence of an online DIY blinds retailer is needed to cement our foothold within the industry.

The window blinds industry, currently dominated by Hunter Douglas is a 2 billion dollar industry. We plan to enter this market and becoming a significant player in the space.

The story

When the Maha Nakhon was built, our parent company had contracted out the window coverings. Most of the bidders for the contract were Hunter Douglas owned companies. The bids that did come in were significantly higher than our parent company had anticipated. Prices we had believed to be much higher than the production and related time costs involved. Hunter Douglas currently enjoys somewhat of a monopoly on the window coverings commercial market, and our decision to enter the market was mostly due to this fact.

Being new to the market we certainly had a lot to learn about window coverings. To help, we enlisted the expertise of Francois Perrin, to help build EzBlinds from the ground up. Francois helped in a consulting role on the Maha Nahkon, and brought a wealth of expertise to help create our commercial division for window coverings.
